GRIEVANCE MEETING PREPARATION SHEET ======================================================================== BEFORE THE MEETING [ ] Re-read your grievance letter — you will be asked to explain it [ ] Prepare a one-page summary: the 5 key points, in order [ ] Number your evidence bundle with page references [ ] Confirm your companion (colleague or union rep) — s.10 ERA 1999 right [ ] Send any new documents to the grievance manager 48h ahead [ ] Prepare answers to the hard questions: - "Why did you not report this at the time?" - "What outcome would resolve this for you?" - "Did you do anything to contribute?" AT THE MEETING [ ] Companion takes notes; you speak [ ] Stick to the letter — do not introduce brand-new allegations verbally [ ] Ask for every promised action to be minuted with a date [ ] If asked a question you cannot answer: "I will confirm in writing." [ ] Ask: "When will I receive the written outcome, and does it include the right of appeal?"
